To get the full story on LSA specs, go to: http://www.sportpilot.org/learn/aircraft_index.html It is not the top speed that is important, but the speed for maximum CONTINUOUS power. The people who have the 3300 Jabiru powered Sonexes, which can easily exceed the 120 kt limit, (138 mph), had a

KRNetters, I just received a quality oil cooler I'm going to use on my KR2S. I ordered it through CXRacing on Ebay. They have a supply of different sized coolers at great prices. The one I ordered is an aftermarket for a 3000GT Eclipse with a core of 11"x4.75"x2" with AN-8 fittings, at just $52 (I

Ron. Do you have Tail numbers of KR's which  are LSA? My KR1 specs to stall at 39 kts (45mph) and Im certain that with a 1300 or 1600 it would not exceed 135MPH. Of course, that would be a waste of a perfectly good KR1. I am looking forward to the new regs. If the country wants GA to thrive, its

There are several KRs currently flying under LSA rules, legally.  Not sure why you don't think a KR can fly slower than 138 mph?  Most cruise around 125/130 unless they've gone to larger engines.  51mph stall speed is also doable in a light KR..   Other simple solution is don't register it as a
