A few years ago I was having problems with a dirty belly on my kr. I got an
old oil separator from a wet to dry vacuum pump conversion I did on another
aircraft. I installed the separator and ran the return line to the intake
box of the carb. The waste was recycled through the engine and voila - no
My KR suffered the 'dirty belly' problem for years: blowby oil collecting
exhaust soot. Bending the exhaust tips downward (four pipes) cured the soot
problem years ago. Finally last year I installed a modified blowby oil
seperator to capture the blowby oil.
