I've been following the comments with interest. I own several GPS
units, Garmin included, and have a total of four GPS units in my Warrior
(for various reasons).
I can say hands-down, the iFly 700 wins the prize. I've been so
enamored with this unit that I actually removed the Garmin and re-w
24 December 2011, one day after my 75th year on earth. Took a short flight in
the John Day valley to celebrate my jubilee. Easy flight, no snow in the
valley, snow line at approximately '6,000 feet, pretty mild winter so far in
eastern Oregon. Logged time totals 1,436 hours on my KR, first fligh
That is known as a Gurney Flap, or wickerbill. It first appeared in Indy car
racing on a Dan Gurney Car, thus the name. It is essentially a way to change
the pressure differentials between two sides of an airfoil.. Do a google search
on Gurney Flap and you'll find lots of information on it.

called egyro that gives you static/pitot inputs as well as xyz gyro
and magnetic compass.

Mark, on the Whisper motor glider, the wing has a very pronounced cusp on
the underside and results in very high stick forces due to the size and
length of the ailerons. Pilot fatigue is a major factor on longer flights.
We have corrected this with trim tabs but as you know this just adds drag.
