I am donig the bottom of the inner wings. I have a trike undercarrage with
the legs on the rear of the front spar. Do I leave any clearance between the
leg & the foam/fibreglass, is there any flexing & if so how much clearance
do I leave. Or what have others done.

I have now had another professional engineer review the WAF joint with the
following conclusions drawn for 3/8 bolts
Assuming that the coefficient of friction bet
I noticed that the both main spar and TE spar WAF bolts in my aircraft were
within recommendation (ie the thread was inside the WAF fitting) but this
meant that one end of the bolt had increased clearance in the WAF fitting
hole as the thread is a smaller diameter than the grip diameter of the bol
