Hey Mark, I too need to add the antenna to a finished fin. Your thoughts on
either sticking directly onto the leading edge and glassing or pushing a copper

Yep, I made one of those by duct taping a piece of wood and laying out some
2" fiberglass tape on it, bent around the corners
