This topic has been well discussed at length.
Go to the archives http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/search and type "LSA"
into the search.
You can probably build a KR in less time than it takes to read all the
posts.
Happy building.

I think that the biggest challenge is likely to be demonstrating a stall
speed of less than 45kts (52mph). Then all that's left is to limit the max
level speed at sea level to 120kts. Everything else is fine.
It seems to me that this should all be entirely possible.

Gents,
I know that the KR2S will weigh in under max gross for LSA. Can it qualify
100% so if needed I could convert from PP SEL to Sport Pilot and keep flying a
KR2S?

I just returned from Oshkosh last night and got on the internet. I drove
again this year and stayed for the whole event. Once again it was wonderful.
I have always camped at the YMCA because of all the benefits it offers. (Hot
Tub, Swimming pool, Ice Skating, Gym, etc.)

There are four based at Butler County airport (KHAO) in Hamilton Ohio, home
of EAA Chapter 974. Mine (KR2) is in the EAA hangar, awaiting the
Airworthiness Inspection. Two (KR 1 1/2 and KR2) are flying and one (KR2S)
is on the gear. We also have one flying out of an airport near Wilmington.
I'm still thinking of building a KR2S. Anyone live within 300 miles of Spooner,
WI 54801 that would be willing to give me a "factory demo"? Preferably one
Corvair powered, as that is the only engine option I'd consider for a KR.
It is a toss-up between the three, KR2S, Sonex, Zenith CH750. Curre
Is there anyone out there who has built, or is pretty far along on his (or her)
KR-2S primarily - or any KS for that matter, who lives not to far from the
Cincinnati area? I would like to visit and chat.

I just got back from Osh as well. I spent almost 2 full days and walked at
least 9 miles between the two days and participated in 3 of the workshops on
the Thursday that it rained much of the day on and off. Two days is not
enough time imo to see it all other than just a quick look at most of it
