aircraft in partnership with Dave, a 65 year old ex-ag
pilot/instructor(15000 hours) who has not flown much in the last 20 years

Just a progress update for all of you. Today I passed my pre-solo
written test. I did very well . It even surprised me. It took a great
deal of study time, but it is another confidence builder, and milestone
on the way. My CFI Andy seems to be pleased also. It
About KR/Corvair flight. I have now flown 22.8 hours on my new engine rebuild
and new fifth bearing install. My confidence level in this engine has soared
through the clouds. Really, I was just up there before sunset skimming the
clouds at 6000' on top and enjoying one of the most beautiful suns

Hello All,
I had used this group to locate the airframe that my dad (Ron Freiberger)
had sold, and was suprised to get a couple of responses, one from the guy
that bought it the other from the current owner. I sent a email out to the
current owner but feel that it may have not made it to him, as
Dan you could weigh your plane lift the engine and weight the plane again, the
difference is the weight of your engine.

want to do it by getting a "hanging" scale, I guess sort of like a fish scale,
and put it between the hoist and the engine, then simply move the engine off
the mount, take the wieght, and put it back on. This is to
