Hi John. I'm quite familiar with the CA-65. Though no I've not built one I have studied the plans in depth and talked with Anton Cvjetkovic a number of times. The landing gear is quite functional. To use it on a KR though would take some modification in-way of additional interior blocking.

So, I take it that you want to have your elevator balanced. That is a good thing and can be done by two methods that I know of. One is to put an internal balance arm inside the fuselage, and the other is to put weights on the ends of the elevator. To do this, you normally use part of the horizon
