This is a great idea. I personally don't care that much about the "service"
in which my jacket comes from but the idea of being able to get a picture of
the cover if one isn't available. We have several items that are "unique"
that we would love to have jackets of but are not part of the general
Hey all,
I'm rewriting my dev_week reserves patch for koha3 and I need some
input on whether certain features I had are truly useful. So here they
are:
Expiration Date: An optional date after which the reserve would be
automatically canceled. This one would be pretty easy.
Set to Lowest priority
Kyle,
First one YES! That way at the end of a school year say 2 months it would
automatically cancel all the holds over the summer. I assume that would be
a syspref where you could set the length of hold to cancel - say 60 days.
Second one - don't care here about that.

Is there interest in Koha to have a Textbook management type module?
Does anyone know of a good OpenSource one?
This Development might be coming soon...

Hooray! I've been coveting your dev_week holds enhancements for ages.

I second this one. Besides David's suggestion (which might require a

There is the holdCancelLength syspref -- is that what you're working
with? Does the code not obey it now? (Haven't checked...).
We also have some related development in t
Hmm...being able to select a local "cover" would also be useful for
non-print items for loan, such as toys, equipment, etc. :)

What I have right now is an expiration date field with a calendar
popup. It sounds like you would like a syspref where you can set a
default date to have filled in already ( i.e. the last day of school
). Or would it be better to have a syspref that sets a default
expiration date X days from today
That sounds like the one option I just mentioned in my last message. I
could just hold off on that feature since it sounds just like what you
are working on.

I just put in an enhancement request - see this bug

Can you have more than one extended attribute for a patron? I imported
one on Weds and it worked fine, so I did another this morning it
completed with no issue but when I select one of the patrons in Koha to
view the data it only shows the last imported attribute and if you
select edit to fix the
Follow-up
If I import both extended attribs at the same time it worked. Maybe I
did something wrong the last time. But if anyone can shed light on this
that would be great.
Thanks!
