I have a very basic problem with my Koha 3 test installation.
If I use the "Limit type to" selection, my search does not show anything.
My Items are set as "Books, Booklets, Workbooks", but if I set the "Books,
Booklets, Workbooks" checkbox, I get "No results found".

Are you using Biblio level Itemtypes or Item level Itemtypes, and do you
have the itemtype set in the appropriate place?
Check in Administration in System Preferences on the Cataloguing tab the
syspref item-level_itypes. If that is on you have to set the itemtype

There was a known deficiency in one of the zebra configuration files that
caused the symptoms you report. If your version is older than the July 12th
patch, please update your file:
