I guess I can take another look. It might be a good solution. My
thinking is that it's good to see data from the two ( potentially
different )

Have you experimented with the XSL support? I think it's a much better
way of solving this problem and many other problems with what should
display than adding more columns to the biblio table.

There are still two questions to address I think:
Which UNIMARC subfield to link to, and
Whether to include a command line script to fill in the database column
from the marc data.
