Jeez... I'm pretty sure we let the debian packagers know that 2.0.59 was
buggy a couple of years ago.

It seems 18.04 includes 2.0.59:

It requires the 'universe' repo active.

I don't know what the version is for Ubuntu 18.04, but 2.0.44
