I am upgrading from koha 3.0.2 to a latest supported version.
My present koha installation is koha version 3.0 installed in Debian Lenny
In the new installation on another machine I have loaded ubuntu 16
and installed the latest version of koha 18.
I took the backup of koha from debian.
Restore

I am migrating to koha.I got a spreadsheet with the present data.
I have found the marc21 tag info details for each column.
eg. Accession Number 541##$e.
I am using MarcEdit 's Delimited Text Translator.
When I tried to map data and click Add argument, MarcEdit gives the
following "Mapping Error."
After doing an import, the items table in koha is having 7 more records
than in
biblio and biblioitems tables.
How does this happen? How to fix this?

When I search for a bibliographic record using advanced search with barcode
eg 35 I get all the records with barcode containing 35, ie 135,35, 3501
etc. how can I limit the search to getting the record with barcode exactly
matching "35" only?

In my migrated koha system I have got to do many corrections and additions.
Some fields got values wrongly and some of the fields got no values. But
the source spreadsheet database has got correct values.
I was thinking about a method by exporting the biblio, items and
biblioitems tables to excel,
To delete a single book in KOHA, is it ok to search the book with its
accession number (barcode) ,click edit and
select the option - delete book or should i use the option delete item.
To completely delete all the bibliographic details. I tried to use truncate
biblio, truncate items, truncate bibl
Will it happen that after converting CSV to marc, and importing to koha,
no of items will be less than no of records. Eg in my import the number of
records comes in the 7000 range, but the number of items comes in the 5000
range.
