When I issued apt-get autoremove it offered to remove the following perl
packages:
libdata-paginator-perl libmoosex-storage-perl libstring-rewriteprefix-perl
libtime-progress-perl
I am unsure if these are still necessary. Does anyone know?

I would recommend something like vagrant (https://www.vagrantup.com/), it
allows you to create a standard build environment for an app.

Lets answer some basic questions so we can effectively answer.
What version of Koha did you install?
Are you using debian or a variant and if so what version/release?
If so did you install from packages?
If not what OS are you using?

If library hours are set using the calendar you shouldn't have any issues, we
loan out some of our bibles in a similar fashion. There was some system
preference I had to set...but I would need to look tomorrow.

We found that it was much easier to export ours to a CSV and then send that off

Yes I am, I have imported all the Marc records using the export script and then
imported them to Vufind. Vufind is communicating with the Koha database because
I am able to login, we just cannot see holding status.

When you say re-cataloguing do you mean that there are records in place from an

We are currently migrating our koha install to a new server, I was curious how
I go about restoring the dumps, the wiki is somewhat vague. Do I need to setup
an instance before I run restore or can I just run the restore with a new
install?
Thanks!

We are using the built in koha self checkout, the only issue is logging in, how
do we make sure the sco stays logged in without auto login (which would allow
anyone access)? Or is there a way to control access by IP? I can modify the
apache config, but would prefer a koha based solution.
Thanks
Good Luck

What is the result of ls -ld /var/lock/koha and ls -ld /var/lib/koha
Also are you on a debian based distro, what is the version of the distro, and
did you install using debian packages

That's a big jump to make (especially because it is a tarball to package), it
would help a ton if we knew what distro you are on.

Likely it is because Koha is expecting an 4 character value, it is not wise to
modify the table directly, is there a reason you need a 5 character branch code?

o identify patton in
other tables. The only way to edit the borrower number would be editing the
