problem is with the P/usd issue and requires some regular expressions

952$q is the due date, and 952$s is the date last checked out--those are
the subfields I would clear. (Disclaimer: I have not tried this and don't
know for sure what will happen!)

We created a patron category called GONE that has no privileges for
anything and expires quickly. We move patrons into it when they graduate or
leave the school mid-year. If they return for some reason, we move them
back into the appropriate category.
