ln -s /shared/path/you/need /native/path/koha/expects
It seems like (if it worked) that could be a lot more flexible and
universal, not to mention a whole lot less messy when it comes time to
upgrade your Koha version level.

You can probably solve that in the short term by using Apache Rewrite
directives to force the translation of all http requests to https. I'd
cite the official documentation for this, but *.apache.org seems to be
having some problems this morning.
