Should say that one reason I don't understand the jiggery-pokery is that we rely heavily on Catalyst IT here in Wellington who have a nice Drupal team as well as being pretty damn fine at Koha. Together they found (and find) ways to make everything we asked for work, I'm not sure how. Tim
