That's right, but it can be used to build a custom set of subfields
which are included under the umbrella term "subtitle." We add 245b,
245n, 245p, and 245h.

I too was unfamiliar with it until recently. However, since I know that Ruth
Bavousett, a former Translation Manager here in Koha (as well as other
things I'm sure) did successfully raise the funds with it for a campaign of
hers, I do not see a problem dealing with it.
