It prints a value only once, if you want all values from all rows, remove
the 'DISTINCT' from the request.

You are not encouraged to create public lists with the special Koha admin user.
Are you able to create a public list in staff, set the appropriate permissions
on it, and add some items (logged in as a superlibrarian in staff) ?

1. is it possible to save the koha database in a specific directory,
like in home directory in a second hard drive?
2. for making regular backups is it better to have only one partition in
an hard drive (system + data) and create an image file of the hard disk
and save

Yes, you can configure mysql however you like.

I have a database that has no item records, only biblios. We are using it to
catalog some archival folders, and pointing to pdfs with scanned images using
the 856u field. We are using the 099a field as the call number field. In
