Hi everybody,
Kohacon 2014 will take place in Córdoba, Argentina! Congratulations!
We have a clear vote of roughly 3:1. There are some duplicate votes
on both sides which I will consider software or server errors :P and
I will have a look at the unfinished votes later. I had one person

Maybe what we need to do is to add the requisite fields into the
Default framework. It seems to have nearly every possible MARC field
already, what's a few more?
I had to add some fields into the RDA framework to get it to work for
us (we use some of the more archival fields among other things). S
Background info:
We don't circulate a lot of materials (probably less than one item per
day on average). 80% of the book stock is not yet in Koha (we have a
legacy card catalogue). We only circulate books that we have more than
one copy - nothing else leaves the building.
When we brought the circ

If this is for a fast add and you're going to update the record later,
why do you need more fields? Is the completeness of the record th

@Mirko. Just wondering. Are the duplicate votes you are talking about based on
IP or email?
Thanks for volunteering your time to setup and manage the surveys.

Thanks fellows for trusting us for such an important event. We will put all
our efforts to make KohaCon14 unforgetable :-D

Critical fields are missing so that if the book is returned and
reshelved, the staff might not be able to find it again using the fast
add record in Koha (our shelving system is Byzantine at best, and made
worse by current building works).
It's not just completeness of data, but keeping track of t
In our fast add framework we have added a default value to the 952 tag subfield

that this is a Fast add and needs to be looked at by someone for evaluation.
We also have a default public note the says it is a fast add
Yay - congratulations Argentina.
When we made the Koha back in the day, we watched the downloads start as the
sun tracked around the globe; from memory I believe Argentina was the first
country outside of NZ to get Koha up and running :)
(I'm sure Chris will correct me if I'm wrong ;) )
Well

Try
apt-get purge koha-common
That makes it forget everything it knows about what might be installed,
there is some apt magic around config files that is possibly getting in
your way. Also try the --reinsta

Hi,
I have just joined this email list to see if anyone has transferred from the
library software AccessIt to Koha. Our school has been looking at Koha for a
while and it looks like very powerful and customisable library software. The
biggest hesitation we have in switching over is how to get
