Does your live CD/DVD has the Z39.50 problem? The live CD/DVD is an
image (a replica) of the installation on the machine from which it was created.
It will carry the applications and functionality from this very installation.
So make sure the Z39.50 problem is not there on that in

Yes, It is possible to use googlesmtp service for sending emails in koha.
The step by step procedure for ubuntu system is as follows:-
*1. Installation of postfix mail server package. *
Open a a terminal and apply following command,
apt-get install postfix
Select no configuratio
I have not heard back on this post for a while. I am still having problems
with the script (see preivous post) with the fines not displaying and the
error meessage in the overdue notices script.

Since I have done a rebuild of the zebra index with
/usr/share/koha/bin/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -a -r
the biblios and items aren't displayed anymore with the search results.

I installed with a tarball. I would like to use the packages. Is there a
simple way to change from tarball installation to packages installation?

Hello, just a question. We changed over to Koha in May of 2011. For the most
part everything is going fine.
The bothersome part is everything is listed as "new". Example:
New-FIC
New-ANF
New-BIO
New-MAG
Is there anything I can do about this? Do I have to submit a bug? It isn't

You just need to create a "new collection code" in Administration > Authorized
values, then clic select "Authorized values" and CCODE... and in the add ITEM
part of your record select from the pull-down menu the one (or another) you
define.
