[Koha] Performance of Koha and usage of remote MySQL server

Hello, I would like to know if the installation of Koha with a MySQL database on another server than the application may affect the performance of Koha. The MySQL server and application are on the same LAN, regardless of any order might be slowdown during query execution. Thanks for help ___

Paul, I've done several of those Millennium->Koha migrations for my work here. What I do is get the MARC records, and toss out all the 9xx fields. Then add in Koha 952s based on item data from a tab-delimited extract. You'll need some matchpoint to know which items go with which bibs; typically

Also, make sure that you are putting in your password instead of the word "password." You can do it like this mysqladmin -uroot -p create the-name-of-your-database and it will prompt you for the password. It will be the password you entered when you went through the password reset procedure.
