I have been working on a non-Koha specific mobile web app for
libraries based on WordPress and searching through Z39.50/SRU (

interface, and I'm

I want to offer a belated thank you for all of the responses to my query

Hello Everyone,
Our migration to KOHA is going pretty well but we've run into one bump and it
has to do with interlibrary loan. Wondering what setup/practice you have for
ILL at your libraries. Right now it looks as if the best method would be to
create a fast add item for each title. Your

Please note that "Koha" is not an acronym, it's a regular (Maori) word.

That's basically what we do, although we don't do it on the fly at the

We do the same, we have the ILL framework with the defaults already filled in,
so we type the title in the bib record, scan a barcode in the item record and
place the hold. (Make sure the item is marked as not being able to be seen in
catalog in your default framework.)

Hello Friends
This is my first post here, but I have been following your excellent work

system I know of. After 7 years of using version 2.0.0 I have decided to
upgrade.

Tena koe Ann,
I think Item types are the best way to manage this rather than a different
branch. That way you can configure the borrowing rules by item type and member
type to make that as rigid or flexible as you need.
That aside, thanks to the worldwide Koha list I have found a fellow Koha

Hi Rachel,
1.Setting notices up to run is part of a cron job. Can't answer anymore
there as Catalyst look after those for us.
2.As to adding the due date to notices. For the advance ones we don't
include it, the notice just says 'due soon'. For the overdue notices, adding

We say, "your item is due in 2 days" and have defaulted every patron to a 2 day
notice. I do not think you can put the due date in that notice for some reason.

Some thoughts from a non-Koha-specific perspective.
As background, I spent some time working on a mobile Tomcat skin for
my Voyager ILS, but ended up scrapping that as we were close to
deploying Summon, which has a mobile version. We'r

I would first like to say hello to everyone as this is my first post. We are
currently training with Nicole and have a go live date set for January 9th.
We are a multi-branch library system and would like to know how other libraries
are handling the "holds to pull" report.
