I'm in the middle of my first Koha install. I'm running on CentOS 5.7 with perl
5.8.8. The Koha INSTALL file says 'You need to have a server running perl 5.8.8
or later',
but 'make test' is failing due to perl 5.10-isms (eg C4/Search.pm line 497

I'm not sure what you mean by "offline," but here is the install doc
included in the tar ball:

Is the access via a proxy, like for remote access? 8080 is a
non-privileged
port so assuming permissions are ok in the OS, Apache and the database
for the concerned staff category, perhaps its the ACL in the proxy?
ACL specs may have changed in 3.4.5.

Actually I mean to say that how do I install koha when the system is not
connected on Internet. I can download Apache, Mysql, Perl & Koha from
another place, but the system where I want to install koha, there is no
Internet connection. Can it possible?

Perl for Koha has many dependencies so you need to be connected to the
internet to have these installed. Few years back I downloaded the Perl
dependencies manually and installed these one by one but this turned out
to be a pain and is not recommended. Once Perl dependencies are in
place, then Apach
