Hi Sonia, we had a library reporting this as a problem in the past and I agree - it should be possible to place holds on items waiting for pick-up with AllowOnShelfHolds turned off. There is some discussion on bug 4319, but putting a patch on a new bug report might be a little cleaner. Katrin A

Hello, I think there's an issue with the possibility to place a hold on items waiting to be pick-up or in transit when you choose that on shelf holds are not allowed. In this case, items are not checked-out so there are considered to be available. But, they aren't, they are not on a shelf ready t
