Thank you for following up on the issue that I encountered. I think that
you are correct about the service being slow/down because the MARC preview
and card preview in Koha worked the next day and when I tested them again
today, they still work.

Did you manage to solve this?
I tested a z39.50 search for the Library of Congress using 24.05.03 (and
24.05.04 + main) and things worked as expected for me. (I don't have access
to OCLC Firstsearch. This was also with a cleared browser cache.)
Maybe their service was slow/down a
