Hi Craig,
This sounds like a bug, GEN_SUBDIV should be a defined. Could you open

Hi, Luisa--
I can give you some information on your second question:

You need to pay for a full cataloging subscription to OCLC to use it even
via Z39.50, and you can obtain a quote for that by
The Koha community is proud to announce the release of Koha 18.05.13.
Many thanks to all those who have supported the releases this cycle.
The full release notes are available at:

Hi everyone,
After some playing around, I discovered that the authority records were
given a Koha-specific value of "GEN_SUBDIV" in field 942 (this tag is
hidden by default so it will not appear in the editor screen before you
make it display). I therefore created a new authority type in

Hi Katrin,
Thanks for your reply. Interestingly, when you navigate to a subdivision
authority record from the staff client, you can get to the MARC data just
fine. For example,

Of course you will know "100.100" is no valid ISBN. However, I added
this number to a record in my demo insta
Hi,
I guess this is a very basic and silly question.
I just created my first record with some items. Among other things I filled in
the field "Number (ISBN)” with 100.100.
Using the advanced catalog search I’m trying to find my record, but nothing is
found:

I can answer part 1: yes, using MarcEdit. Earlier this month I gave a
presentation on MarcEdit at the Medical Library Association meeting in Chicago.
I had three minutes and I tried to cover a lot of ground, so I just touched
upon the Z39.50 part. See:

Probably worth noting that the 19.05 release notes are actually at:

To: Koha Devel;
The Koha community is proud to announce the release of Koha 18.11.06.
This is a maintenance release and is my last release as the 18.11.x series
maintainer. The series is however in good hands going forward with Fridolin
Somers taking it on for the next cycle. I'm sure he'll do a great job!
