If the library has only one item, you could enforce item level holds via
the circulation conditions to achieve the effect you want. Then the user
will have to pick an item to put on hold and the information will show.
If there are multiple items this will of course mean that only the item

Hi All
The link from https://koha-community.org/documentation/ should be working now.
This is generated using the old docbook xml. Future manuals will be created
from the new restructured text using Sphinx.

We had to create our authority files from scratch. It was done by sucking
the data out of the relevant fields, deduplicating, standardizing,
correcting a lot of records (I was impressed with the number of different
ways A. L. Lloyd's name was used in our databases), etc. and then creating

Hi David
Luckily Mirko (the package manager) lives in Germany, so as you will have just
seen the packages are all up to date now. :)

Hello everyone,
the Debian package for Koha, koha-common 16.11.00, is now available
from the community repository.
Please note that with the new release, the codename/version
relationship shifts to
stable 16.11
oldstable 16.05
Koha 3.22 is still maintained, but there won't be new
Hi All,
It does not appear that the 16.11 package is available yet. With all that is
happening in NZ I hope we can see it soon ;-> Is there an ETA for this?
Thanks

I agree with everything Fred said. It's taken quite a bit of testing and
retesting to change something in the OPAC display. We managed to
accidentally hide all the bibliographic data in the OPAC search results on
the first two tries. Thank goodness for our test system.

Hi all
As you will know I am the new documentation manager. For the next release
17.05.
However I am attempting to get the 16.11 manual up as well.
As you will know all these positions are voluntary and I have also been quite
disturbed, by a 7.8 earthquake in NZ, which has damaged many buildi

You can think Nick for finally pushing me to put up all the photos from the
HackFest!
For the uninitiated, for a long time I've been wanting to have a Koha
community facebook, in the original sense of the word.
So here it is!

Layale,
The first thing you need to do is make sure that you've set up ICU chains,
which enables internationalization in Zebra.
See https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/ICU_chains_configuration
After that, you may need to customize words-icu.xml. See the Arabic section

Hello All,
We are currently using Koha 3.14 and we have imported around 2000 records to
Koha which have Arabic and transliterated titles. I have two questions:
1- When searching, the results are not sorted correctly if I select sort
by Title (A-Z). I found 3 links online related to this top

Thanks Katrin for your inputs. The library that asked this usually only has one
item, hence they asked if it will be possible when a client put a hold on a
record and then an item is filled up in the holds, or through some kind of
mechanism, the first available item is put in hold, and therefore
