Hello all.
I'm starting to catalog some serials we have, some of it are
discontinued, by the moment I'm making a bibliographic record and one
item record for each issue of the serial we have.
Now, I'm not sure if this is the best way and if is better to have a
bibliographic record for each issue.
Robin,
We'll miss your messages :'-( Best wishes!

Hi, Koha folks.
Tomorrow is my last day at Catalyst, and the end of my last week in New
Zealand.
From December, I'm starting a new job that is located only 1,450km
distance from as far away as it is possible to get from Wellington on
earth. That is, in Amsterdam*.
It's been a pleasure meeting t
Thank you - clean install sounds like a very good option. Is there an easy way
to export the data I need or is it more the case copying the database tables
from old instance to the new?

Greetings,
Indranil's suggested process direction seems good.
Though, sometimes an upgrade is an opportunity to lose the junk.
However, perhaps you may wish to take this opportunity to do a fresh
install, and import cleaned MARC records into the fresh install? I would
also take note of any oth

Hi,
I'm new to Koha and have inherited a very old koha install. I'm wanting to
move the instance to a new VM and thought it may be a good opportunity to
upgrade too. Can anyone please assist in the recommend steps to do so?
Thank you in advance..

Robin et al.,
Apologies for the delay.
I started over with a clean install and everything proceeded smoothly. I
have no idea what the issue was, but I wasn't able to reproduce it and now
I've got a nice shiny package installation with everything running green.
Sorry for all the trouble over th
Is your Ubuntu 12.04 using Apache 2.2, or have you upgraded that to 2.4?
Why have you enabled [repetitive?] ".save" and ".backup" conf files?

Greetings,
The issue is networking configuration. If you followed Chris' recommendation
on the Koha server machine, which I am assuming is different that your
Mikrotik Router Board 1100 AH box, then the issue is most likely with
configuring your Router (as I said before), not the Koha machine.
Dear Chris,
Thanks for your advice. We have tried this "sudo/etc/init.d/networking
start", but still the server cannot receive any IP from the Mikrotik Router
Board 1100 AH. How else can we try to resolve this issue?

Please how can I create a static IP address on my mikrotic router board

given previously and typed ifconfig yet the IP address didn't show. Thanks.

Dear sir/ madam
Koha OPAC is not working, can you figure out the problem
a) OS used and its version: ubuntu 12.4.0
b) Koha version used : 3.20.05.000
c) how you have set you apache settings for Koha e.g. what does
apache2ctl -S show? apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's

Thanks for quick answers,
We need such articles and comparison tests as KOHA developers and users.
I'd like to ask another question. Is there any globally accepted check
list for buying an ILS?
