Regarding the barcodes:
At the moment, the barcode dimensions are hard coded in relation to the
dimension of the label.
For patron cards exists a solution that makes barcode scaling editable:

it's simple, but good enogh for us
If you are using Debian or Ubuntu, you can install it from standard
distribution repository (It's part of Gnome)
