Hi,
it's currently not possible to change which fields are searched or not
from the staff interface. The way to do that right now is to edit the
search configuration files.

I think what you are looking for is the 'inventory number' - 952$i in
MARC21. You can link the field to a cataloguing plugin if you want to
autogenerate a number. For example stocknumberAV.pl.

Yes. The barcode and accession number are different. Koha is able to
add that automatic number called the barcode. But I wanted to add
another number called accession number which is assigned to the item
when it has been acquired.
