Greetings,
3.01 is a very old, unsupported version. Additionally, Koha is developed and
supported by those using debian-based operating systems, so the support for
OpenSUSE is minimal. The wiki pages only list Koha 3.0
(http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.0.0_on_openSUSE_11.3). This will

Could something be amiss with /etc/koha/zebradb/authorities/etc/bib1.att?
Especially given the error:
[Sun Sep 02 23:38:10 2012] [error] [client 75.149.175.233] ZOOM error 25
"Specified element set name not valid for specified database" (addinfo:

We still get the same errors after running
link_bibs_to_authorities.plfollowed by
rebuild_zebra.pl -b -a -r
The authorities not showing up was caused by duplicate control numbers. We
have cleared up that problem.

I reproduced your 500 error and found these in the logfile. ZOOM is a

Brian,
that error could indicate:
1) You have not created the database.
2) You created the database, but not the user.
3) You created the user, but with a different password.
Please check that the database has access rights for the user declared at
the bottom of /etc/koha/koha-conf.xml

Hi All,
I'm new to Koha and not very skilled at Ubuntu yet. I'm trying to help out
my small town local library by installing the system. I've run through the
install and I believe things went well, I've tracked down a few errors and
checked that they were corrected, but when I try to access the pa
Greetings,
I thought I'd interject a bit.
It would be good to build a tool to find duplicate control numbers.
I did this by exporting all the biblios, using:
marcprint (my python utility) | grep "=001" | sort | uniq -c | sort -r |
less
and looked for counts greater than 1.
I'll use your "m
Greetings,
You may wish to look in the koha error logs for a timestamp around the time
that happened. I'd tell you where they are, but they may differ based on the
type of installation you did (packages, git, tarball).
tarball: /var/log/koha/koha-error_log
I think packages is: /var/log/koha//

It also doesn't update the other records linked to this authority as it should.

I use koha on a Debian Linux virtual machine myself, running on Oracle
Virtualbox, on a 32-bit MS-Windows 7 host.
The VM was imported from a ready-made koha "appliance", downloaded
from http://kylehall.info/ (Kyle M Hall).
The VM koha was initially at v3.8, however the installation comes with a
