I thought I had posted a similar response, but it never showed up. I would
prefer to see this handled in the report, by leaving the category and price
fields black for add and remove shares transactions.

Please be aware, that the add and remove shares activity actually forces a sort
of an imbalance of the books since they modify the number of shares in an
account but do not change any other account. They are a sin
