It is better without the white outline around the "i". The outline around
the i would have been lost when the image is used for a small icon.
The C should be made larger than the next two lette

Hello!
I appreciate the effort to improve the logo, but I admit I have to agree with
Chris here that the design could be better by following some common design
rules. Unfortunately, I don't have an example here, but the following pages

I don't see what is wrong with the old logo.
Also the proposed logo now indicates that we shall write Kicad
stylised as KiCAD and not KiCad. And the border for the CAD part does
not work out right. The font is also boring and wierd, not
"professional'.

I like it. I really don't want to be too negative about this, but there
is a lot about this logo that just doesn't work.

I mostly like this. I'm really not keen on the white outline around the
letters though, and it really needs to be adjusted so that the "Ki" and
the "CAD" share a baseline - it feels rough to read otherwise.

AFIAK there is officially only one KiCad logo[1]. Everything else is a
variation of that or left over from previous logos that haven't been
updated.

Ingo you are right, I think the logo works better without the "mask
setback" in white around the letter "i".
Thanks for the mockups :)

Hi,
I like the use of the schematic/pcb elements.
It also looks much better at small scales
I tried the scaling and made a mockup at icon resolutions from 16x16 to
64x64 with 8 pixel steps (16, 24, 32, etc.), see attachment. Scaling
works good IMO, but cannot avoid bike-shedding:

Hi all,
One small thing that has bugged me for a while is the various icons that
are considered "official" for Kicad.
The application, website, forum and github all use different icons.
Further, the application icon looks very cluttered when reduced to a small
size e.g. on window title bar.
