Hi,
We use Ubuntu as a base for our custom (embedded) OS, along with D-I as
installation system. We target many devices with MMC storage and it
would be useful for us if Ubuntu kernels included an udeb with MMC
modules (mmc-modules-X-generic-di).

doing five runs each time. (B=Broken, W=Works)

The patch was reverted upstream unfortunately in
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=c6930992948adf0f8fc1f6ff1da51c5002a2cf95
so it's not really appropriate to backport to trusty

Very sorry to hear that the status has been changed to expired. I am still
affected by this problem and would love to see a solution.

I tried on 12 computers and it didn't help. I'm updating BIOS on all
computers since we have mostly first versions of BIOS that came with
computers. I'm also disabling Intel Virtualisation Support in BIOS that
some forums suggested.
This is really crazy. We had zero problems with freezing on Ubunt

I'm having the same issues albeit with a slightly different model HP
Spectre x360 (13-4003dx).
Strangely enough, "/dev/mem: Operation not permitted" is the response I get
even as root, (on the Ubuntu 15.04 livecd) using either of those commands.
Simply using 'dmidecode' on its own gives me the f
