I have now seen this same bug:
"Bad page state in process xampp-linux-x64 pfn:1b9e24"

I should reboot to the Ubuntu normal (4.2) kernel to file the bug report?

I updated the BIOS to version 1.30.
I am now running the 15.10 stock kernel 4.2.
I will let you know if the problem still happens, or if there are no
crashes after a day or more of operation.
I appreciate your help.

I updated the BIOS and the problem seems to have gone away. I rebooted
10 times with no failures. PC has been running over one day with no
kernel or other crashes. It looks like this was entirely my problem (and
ASRock's buggy BIOS).

@romanbn, I'm trying to follow in your footsteps. So, I installed
kernel 4.2 successfully. I'd like to install the firmware you
recommended (https://github.com/kvalo/ath10k-
firmware/tree/master/ath10k). Do you have the commands you executed
executed to upgrade the firmware?

For what it's worth, unchecking "[ ] Copy host CPU configuration" in

I just tried again with two logical CPUs and the core set to "Westmere"
(I think that was the default), and didn't see the bug. So this seems
related specifically to "[x] Copy host CPU configuration" being checked.
Here's the /proc/cpuinfo from the "virtual Westmere" where it works:
