I can confirm this issue on a Intel NUC6i5SYH, Iris Graphics 540 with kernel
4.4.6-300.fc23.x86_64 (exact same symptoms, logs ...). I bet a whole lot of

Got an error on install of the headers file. Traced it to bbswitch-
dkms. Uninstalled this package, re-installed the .debs, restarted.
System crashes. Restarting again to see if the grub entry changed.
Nothing changed in the grub entry. Adding nomodeset, as I remember I

Nomodeset worked again, removing 4.4.0 packages by following instructions here:

restarting and crossing my fingers that stuff will still work after this...
hangs on boot. Adding nomodeset again. Works.

This appears to be an upstream kernel bug, and not limited to just
Ubuntu/Debian. I'm currently running Arch Linux and this regression
showed up in the 4.4 kernel. The last known good kernel version was
4.3.3. Kernel versions that have the issue include 4.4.1 and 4.5rc1.

I see that there's a team bug subscriber now. So the only issue on my
original list is fixing the zfs-zed Replaces line for zfsutils-linux.
It's such a tiny thing to hold up a MIR, but I guess since xenial
deadline is passed and it's so trivial to fix, let's just fix it.

We are hitting an unexpected low write rate with Lexar JumpDrive P20
64GB flash drives connected via USB 3.0 on multiple machines and across
multiple kernels (3.13, 4.4). Expected is a write rate of 270 MB/s and
we only get 45 MB/s. Under Mac OS X and Windows we get the expect
