I tried to install Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu gnome 14.04.1 on my T440p with the
newest
bios update 2.25 - no change.
I can install ubuntu using "nomodeset", but installing nvidia or
bumblebeedrivers doesn't work at all. The Computer doesn't recognise the
graphic card GT 730M.

Latest linux kernel completely kills my Wifi. Have had to use the GRUB
boot loader to revert the kernel back twice. Kernel 5.15.0-67 works
perfectly with my wifi.
In network settings the wifi option is entirely missing when I am on the
-69 version.

I use Linux Mint, the command above is not found in my terminal. In case

needed cuda 11)
/etc/systemd/system/systemd-suspend.service.requires contained symbolic links
which point to /lib/systemd/system/nvidia-resume.service

becomes unresponsive to any input, has nothing but a black/off display,
and fans kick in and run high (which is actually 'good' for detecting
the issue has happened).

trying to boot with the 5.1-rc3 kernel resulted in a black screen that
never asked for my encrypted drive password. I could ctrl+alt+delete to
reboot back to bios/grub, but could not successfully boot the system.

Firstly, this problem has been ongoing since I dug my old laptop back to
life, say January 2018. I put a new SSD in before installing Ubuntu
17-10 plus updates. I later updated to 18-04, all at current latest
official releases.

Hi, I would like to confirm this as this also affects not only my client
but also my Colleagues (thinkpad T460s and T470s). The Problem seem to
occur after a few minutes of inactiviy randomly. Some experience this
3-4 times/day while some 2-5 times a week.
Running on Ubuntu Bionic 18.04

Notes as it is currently unreliable on WiFi, making appport-collect
hard.
After restoring from the recovery partition I am able to add this WPA2
network.
I then run apt-get upgrade and it gets buggy. Thanks for helping out.

I have issue and my root partition is ext4. `mount` is full of other
crap I don't understand but I don't think any of it's "real" drives.

None of the boot parameters worked, but with acpi_backlight=vendor the
backlight was dimmer (systemd-backlight didn't fail). The only way it
starts working is to do "setpci -v -H1 -s 00:01.00 BRIDGE_CONTROL=0"
