Does this need to be pushed upstream? Who is the people ultimately
responsible for that code, the kernel hackers or is this outside that
project?

No, it isn't stable. It often fails again rapidly.

Marvin, thanks for that regulatory database hint. I hadn't seen that yet.
I'll try it next time I get my laptop out. I've sadly been booting up
Windows frequently due to this bug and really want to stop that. :-)

I was going to submit a new bug with my Carbon X3, but it says linux-
image-3.19.0-12-generic is not an official package. I'll try again after
a reboot with the new kernel.

Looks like systemd 219-1ubuntu1 is required to resolve this bug, but
14.10 latest systemd is 208-8ubuntu8.2. What is the best way to get this
enhancement applied?
