Could we have news on this please? The problem is still present on 4.6. Several disconnections. We don't have kernel panic any more, but the kernel refuses to reconnect to the device again, we need to unplug and replug manually. Bug in upstream: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75381
