Public bug reported:
After updating to linux-image-4.4.0-39 the system fails to boot because
it is unable to find any boot device [1].
The output looks like this: (this is not my exact output but it is very similar)

The second one (30d6592-reverted) worked for me, but not the first one.

I've tested both and the second one (30d6592-reverted) worked for me!
The first one (d2b59ee-reverted) got stuck.
