I am running 4.4.0-81-generic with the 3.2.6 e1000e driver. The driver
keeps hanging. This was supposedly fixed 4 years ago. It is still
broken.

The bash package is an "Essential: yes" package also in Trusty so no
dependency is necessary. The Debian patch should be appropriate for an
SRU.
