between how Xorg blanks the screen and the configuration gnome-settings-
daemon applies.

The strange thing is that both the Samsung GS4 and the GS5 I owned before
always connected seamlessly. My BQ Aquaris is a different story, though. I
had once suggested that Canonical uses reverse engineering to solve this
issue, but I never received any feedback :(

I completely reinstalled Kubuntu, then ran:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install neofetch
I rebooted, and the Touchpad is still detected, ran neofetch:

Why was this set invalid? The change in
