I had another system crash last night, and two this morning. I then installed
the daily mainline kernel and have been running for a few hours without any
issues. I think this issue is resolved in the updated kernel.

I've installed the v4.10 mainline.

Will monitor and see if there are any more system crashes. I will update
in a few hours.
Thanks!

Mainline v4.10 seems to have fixed the issue.
However, now I am getting a Bluetooth error on startup. This does not
seem to impact actual use though as I can still do an audio sync and
stream to my main receiver.

I will try to see what I can do. Leaving town tomorrow for a long
weekend. If not, I can work on it Sunday when I get back.

So far I have test v4.10.2, v4.10.4 and v4.10.6 - each time running
Thunderbird, Chrome, RhythmBox, Eclipse and then starting up stress to
push a system load (20-25 minutes each). I originally saw some funky
performance within the first few minutes with the kernel that started
this thread, but so
I installed v4.10.8 and left stress running on for about an hour. Just
got back and the system has been stable for the past 5 hours without any
failures.

I can report that mainline seems fine. I have not tried 4.10.11 but
stopped at 4.10.8 as it is working well for me the past couple days.

linux-image-extra-4.10.0-8-generic_4.10.0-8.10_amd64.deb
Note to others, if you are using any proprietary drivers, you should
also download and install both:

I've been working pretty heavily throughout the day (Eclipse, Chrome,
Thunderbird, MySQL, etc) with the 4.10.0-8 and haven't hit the bug. I
will run a couple more days on this version and see if it pops up.
