On a Wily system with the new script, doing an IP injection does change the IP
on the VM, however the netmask value is not parsed and gets ignored.
It gets set to a default of 255

I've installed python 3.4.3 (with is defaulting for python3) on Trusty. Running
a test IP injection did work with the script from comment #6 and the netmask
did change to the new value that was specified.
However, I don't see it in the interfaces config file. Is th

Initially we were using 15.04, which is now EOL.
Testing has been switched to 15.10, which running with upstream does no longer
have the 1GB crashkernel requirement.
It works with the default 384M ( -:128M).

tool which better handles the error reporting if a file already exists on the

None of the 4.x builds are booting with 15.04 32bit.
Tested this with v4.0-vivid, v4.1-rc5-unstable and and rc2, all not able to
find/use sda.

Successfully installed kernel v. 3.13.11-031311-generic #201404222035 -
trusty kernel on top of vivid.
The error remains:

After installing kexec-tools_2.0.6-0ubuntu2.1_i386.deb kdump is now
loading and the initial reported problem that it was not even able to
see the crash memory location is not showing up.
The remaining problem is that the kernel panic is not completing, the VM

If -virtual sits on top of the -generic kernel, then with kernel
3.13.0-54-generic I do see the hid_hyperv and hyperv_fb drivers loaded on the
system.
Is that kernel version correct for this patch?

Hello,
I was able to install a -virtual kernel, however it's not showing up as a boot
option.
This is what I have on a 14.04.1 build after enabling trusty-proposed branch in
sources.list.
The OS is still booting with the -generic kernel and there is no -virtual
kernel in grub after installing th
