Thanks Joe for the quick work on this.
To clarify on the distro release to use, we tested all kernels from this thread
on top of Trusty.
However, this kernel is supposed to go for Precise - 12.04.
Question is, if it's safe to continue do all the testing on Trusty, or
actually switch to Precise? I
Based on the numbers here, I will continue to include some patches or
suggestions we got from Haiyang, and send an update later.
You should be able to push the update as this seems to be a problem with 3.13
entire tree, then in a separate thread we can identify the missing patches.

Joe, can we please get a test kernel for Trusty (3.13 kernel) built?
I might have a lead that without these NUMA patches, we might be seeing the
performance regression issues from 1519897 (comment #33) . Still have to
confirm this from our end, but it's worth a try.
Thank you!

Using a recent linux-next on top of 15.04, the default config generates
a large memory footprint initrd - over 500MB.
Therefore, if we set the crashkernel to 1GB, we'll get a crashdump and the
proper behavior.
So this doesn't relate to 1400319, and it seems to be resolved in linux-next in

Hi Joe,
I verified the v2 test kernel from comment #30 and the network performance
tests have passed successfully now.
The network connection didn't drop between the systems, please proceed with
merging these changes.

Hi Joe,
One issue I'm seeing with the new script is that it seems to be ignoring the
netmask parameter.
In our test network the dhcp assigned is a /23, and that is set on the Ubuntu
15.10 VM.
When we simulate the IP injection, although the network configuration changes

This lts-trusty test kernel is not booting when installed on 12.04.5.
There are multiple events like this being recorded on the serial:
