headphones are plugged in there are a few seconds of hissing before it
goes quiet. If I change the volume, the hissing returns and stops after
around 3-5s. If I play some music and then stop the music, the hissing
returns and
It seems this was a red herring. I was testing on battery power which is
why the audio was being runtime suspended. The hissing remains constant
when the laptop is plugged in.

I just did a fresh install of Vanilla 19.04, so it's not happening just
yet. I'm going to install my usual and replicate it, and then do the

Also, I don't have an apcups, and when I tried to search for the daemon

Whoa, I didn't expect it to do that. I just came back to inform whoever
may be interested, that the problem is solved when I remove the official
Arduino IDE. after uninstalling ONLY that and rebooting, the errors do
not appear again. I installed it by downloading the official zip file
for 1.8.9, an
So another thought: The problem came back after rebooting, but I noticed
that I had the "Arduino web plugin" installed still, and it had
automatically started itself at boot. I uninstalled it and rebooted, and
the problems went away again and haven't returned.
