That was tested on 4.15, which is the default kernel in ubuntu 18.04.
When tested on 5.3rc4, without dptfxtract seems to be good enough [1],
although after using dptfxtract, the system is more consistent [2].
So do you suggest users to always have dptfxtract installed? It shouldn't
make the system

I see you mentioned GeForce 1050Ti in your bug. The commit I posted above is

dptfxtract-helper uses the static build of dptfxtract as that will make
backport to older ubuntu releases a bit easier, as the dynamic linked version
may not work well in all environments.

UCM was loaded based on cardlongname, but that can't cover all configs of the
same model. Lenovo suggested to load ucm by the first 3 letters of
