Public bug reported:
The provided i915/kbl_guc_ver9_14.bin does not load when configured to
do so . If the file is replaced by manually installing with the included
script from 01.org, it loads properly:

This is 17.10 with linux-firmware 1.169.3. It does seem odd, is there
something else the install script from 01.org does that maybe fixes it?
