1. put your mouse in discoverable mode by pressing the "connect" button
underneath the mouse.
run the following commands:
hcitool scan
bluez-simple-agent hci0 XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX
bluez-test-device trusted XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX yes
bluez-test-input connect XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:

event but lid open events were not detected.
Now both lid close and lid open events are NOT detected.

Support for Ubuntu 11.10 was officially ended on 9 May 2013. I am not
sure that not being able to do regression tests on such an ancient
release means that the bug report should be marked incomplete.
